We’re all familiar with the two main types of settlements in East Jerusalem:
1. The big neighborhoods that Israel built around the city, such as Gilo, Pisgat Zeev or Ramot; and
2. The settlements inside Palestinian neighborhoods where small groups of settlers live in a home protected with private guards, such as in Silwan, Sheikh Jarrah and in the Muslim Quarter at the Old City.
However, there is another kind of settlement in East Jerusalem, one that is invisible – though very much noticeable – that is growing rapidly in the last few years in which the Israeli government is investing Millions of Shekels, and that has the potential of preventing a Two States Solution and even to bring to an explosion in Jerusalem.
I will upload the Hebrew version soon.
